Teenage drinking linked to early drug use

“THE earlier teenagers start drinking, the more likely they are to start experimenting with drugs and will eventually move on to harder substances. ‘Drug use at a young age is risk-taking behaviour,’ they said. ‘Initially, that’s having a few cans. So if you have your first few cans at 12 or 13, your next risk-taking behaviour is going to be smoking a joint.”
