Preventing Drug Use – Now More Important Than Ever

In our 2010 National Drug Control Strategy, we outline a comprehensive, balanced approach to reducing drug use and its consequences in the United States. One of the primary ways to accomplish this is through prevention. Preventing drug use before it starts and having programs in place to assist substance abusers before they become addicted simply makes sense.
